Raphael Carrion Jr., 28, of Garfield was transferred yesterday from Hackensack University Medical Center to the Bergen County Jail, where he was being held on $150,000 bail.

Carrion, who sustained skull fractures when he was struck in the head with a hammer, is charged with aggravated assault and weapons possession.
Anthony Pate, 37. was being held at the jail on $150,000 bail, as well, after being transferred from St. Joseph Hospital and Medical Center on Wednesday. Pate is charged with two counts of aggravated assault.
Pate was with Ernest Brodie, 19, of Harrison, and 21-year-old Jesus Colon of Lyndhurst when they got into a fight with Carrion and two other Garfield men — Benjamin Venegas, 27, and 32-year-old Lukasz Dziewiatkowski — at Twins Plus Lounge before dawn Tuesday, Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli said.
The brawl spilled outside, where Carrion was beaten with the hammer and Pate was stabbed, he said.
Brodie then got into his car, parked near the bar and “intentionally drove into” Dziewiatkowski on Saddle River Avenue before he “turned [it] around, returned to South Main Street, accelerated and intentionally struck Venegas with the vehicle,” Molinelli said.
Police from South Hackensack and surrounding towns rushed to the South Main Street bar after getting word of the melee just before 1:45 a.m. Tuesday.
Four ambulances were needed to transport the injured, the prosecutor said.

Dziewiatkowski sustained several broken bones and was released from Hackensack University Medical Center after being treated, the prosecutor said.
Colon was released after being treated at HUMC for cut on his face and leg, he said.
Carrion originally was listed as critical but recovered enough to be taken to the jail.
That leaves Venegas, who Molinelli said remained in critical condition at HUMC.
Brodie (mug strip, left) remained held on $500,000 bail in the county jail, charged with attempted murder for intentionally hitting the two men, the prosecutor said.
Colon (mug strip, middle) was released on $100,000 bail on Wednesday. He’s charged with aggravated assault on Carrion and simple assault on Dziewiatkowski.
Dziewiatkowski (mug strip, right) was released without bail, charged with assault and disorderly conduct.
Molinelli said additional charges were expected at the time. Soon after, his investigators charged Pate and then Carrion.
