Former Johnstown Police Captain no longer with the department, city confirms
JOHNSTOWN, Pa (WJAC) — 6 News has learned that the Johnstown police captain who was accused of theft back in October is no longer with the department.
City manager Ethan Imhoff confirmed that Michael Plunkard is no longer working for the Johnstown Police Department.
Imhoff says he could not comment further due to the situation being a personnel matter.
Plunkard agreed in December to complete a 12-month Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition program in response to the charges he faced.
He is accused of deceiving a woman during a vehicle transaction.
Plunkard was charged with felony theft and deception, but those charges could be expunged once he completes the ARD program.
